The 2013-2014 Luton Town thread
bit late in starting this one (not that anyone reads it) but here we go.Last weeks away match at AFC Telford was postponed for safety reasons so our first game of the new season was last night against Forest Green Rovers and ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw despite having 12 shots on target,12 corners yadda yadda. We desperatly need a striker and rumours have it that James Constable of Oxford is heading our way as we still have no one that can hit the target

He was ****e for us but a lot of that was down to the way we played.Once constable comes in we will tear the league apart ;)
besides you have won both your games (against relegation favorites) against 10 men :D |
at home to Southport tomorrow looking to batter them and get the 1st 3 points on the board
a very poor performance but walloped them 5-1 :luxhello:
away to Mansfield Town tonight hopefully another 3 points :thumb:
another disappointing performance but we escaped with a 1-1 draw and remain unbeaten :)
was at home to Braintree Town (who???) yesterday and beat them 3-1 with a much better performance
away to Hayes & Yeading tonight should be another 3 points :thumb:

sorry been away for a while so just to update, the easy 3 points against H&Y was a disappointing 2-2 draw
We then had an away trip to Stockport last friday evening and drew 1-1 again Tomorrow we are at home to Darlington which i suspect will be a draw  |
well we comfortably beat Darlo 2-0 and begin to climb the table
away to AFC Telford tonight, hopefully another 3 points
we won 2-0 :thumb:
was at home to Lincoln City today and despite having a man sent off after just 24 mins we ground out a 1-0 win :luxhello:
away to Bath City tonight should be an easy 3 points :)
thats the last time i talk up an easy 3 points,we got a disappointing 1-1 draw but means we are still unbeaten this season and go top of the league (albeit on GD) :thumb:
away to York City tomorrow,i always look forward to this fixture.I know the spineless ginger tosser will score against us but i think this will be a draw :)
:D
lost 3-0 :( we didnt turn up at all and couldnt string 2 passes together all match.Worst performance of the season by a long way (having just 1 defender doesn't help)
time to put things right on tuesday |
home to Cambridge tomorrow night hopefully put right the wrongs from saturday :thumb:
lost 1-0 :(
I honestly didnt think it was possible to play worse than we did at York but somehow we managed it. |
As im back i may aswell ressurect this. Its been a long 2 years and we are still in this bloody Skrill Premier but this season we are flying and are sitting proudly on top of the league after reeling in an 11 point deficit to Cambridge and are currently 3 points clear.
Tomorrow sees the Town head to Kent to take on a Dartford side that has 2 of out players on loan (and ineligble to play against us).Should the game go ahead which is unlikely given the weather we are expecting i think we will wallop them and go 6 points clear with Cambridge playing in the FA Trophy :thumb: |
Well for a change it was off due to waterlogged pitch,so next game on saturday at home to Tamworth which should be a straightforward win
After 2 pitch inspections tonights game at Macclesfield is ON !!! hopefully another 3 points towards the title :thumb:
Won 2-1 and are now 6 points clear at the top :thumb:

I see you have just joined the football forum. Unfortunately you won't be visiting the mighty Spireites next season but you will possibly get the pleasure of Scabland aka Mansfield Town unless of course they fall into administration :)
I am hoping that yourselves and Alfreton go up . |
