The 2013-2014 Luton Town thread

bit late in starting this one (not that anyone reads it) but here we go.Last weeks away match at AFC Telford was postponed for safety reasons so our first game of the new season was last night against Forest Green Rovers and ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw despite having 12 shots on target,12 corners yadda yadda. We desperatly need a striker and rumours have it that James Constable of Oxford is heading our way as we still have no one that can hit the target

He was ****e for us but a lot of that was down to the way we played.Once constable comes in we will tear the league apart ;)

besides you have won both your games (against relegation favorites) against 10 men :D

scooby-tc 19 August 2011 11:15 PM

sorry been away for a while so just to update, the easy 3 points against H&Y was a disappointing 2-2 draw
We then had an away trip to Stockport last friday evening and drew 1-1 again
Tomorrow we are at home to Darlington which i suspect will be a draw

scooby-tc 10 September 2011 06:34 PM

well we comfortably beat Darlo 2-0 and begin to climb the table

scooby-tc 13 September 2011 09:52 AM

away to AFC Telford tonight, hopefully another 3 points

scooby-tc 14 September 2011 09:32 AM

we won 2-0 :thumb:

scooby-tc 17 September 2011 06:13 PM

was at home to Lincoln City today and despite having a man sent off after just 24 mins we ground out a 1-0 win :luxhello:

scooby-tc 20 September 2011 10:33 AM

away to Bath City tonight should be an easy 3 points :)

scooby-tc 21 September 2011 08:21 AM

thats the last time i talk up an easy 3 points,we got a disappointing 1-1 draw but means we are still unbeaten this season and go top of the league (albeit on GD) :thumb:

scooby-tc 23 September 2011 10:03 AM

away to York City tomorrow,i always look forward to this fixture.I know the spineless ginger tosser will score against us but i think this will be a draw :)

The Dogs B******s 24 September 2011 05:28 PM

:D

scooby-tc 26 September 2011 08:55 AM

lost 3-0 :( we didnt turn up at all and couldnt string 2 passes together all match.Worst performance of the season by a long way (having just 1 defender doesn't help)

time to put things right on tuesday

scooby-tc 26 September 2011 08:41 PM

home to Cambridge tomorrow night hopefully put right the wrongs from saturday :thumb:

scooby-tc 28 September 2011 02:18 PM

lost 1-0 :(

I honestly didnt think it was possible to play worse than we did at York but somehow we managed it.

scooby-tc 31 January 2014 11:30 AM

As im back i may aswell ressurect this. Its been a long 2 years and we are still in this bloody Skrill Premier but this season we are flying and are sitting proudly on top of the league after reeling in an 11 point deficit to Cambridge and are currently 3 points clear.
Tomorrow sees the Town head to Kent to take on a Dartford side that has 2 of out players on loan (and ineligble to play against us).Should the game go ahead which is unlikely given the weather we are expecting i think we will wallop them and go 6 points clear with Cambridge playing in the FA Trophy :thumb:

scooby-tc 02 February 2014 11:25 PM

Well for a change it was off due to waterlogged pitch,so next game on saturday at home to Tamworth which should be a straightforward win

scooby-tc 11 February 2014 03:25 PM

After 2 pitch inspections tonights game at Macclesfield is ON !!! hopefully another 3 points towards the title :thumb:

scooby-tc 11 February 2014 09:51 PM

Won 2-1 and are now 6 points clear at the top :thumb:

I see you have just joined the football forum. Unfortunately you won't be visiting the mighty Spireites next season but you will possibly get the pleasure of Scabland aka Mansfield Town unless of course they fall into administration :)
I am hoping that yourselves and Alfreton go up .

I've been on TFF since 2009 so i wouldnt say 'just joined' Last time i went to Chesterfield was on boxing day 2008 i think in a 2-2 draw where we equalised in the 96th minute :D and it was so cold.We have a terrible record against Mansfailed at their place anyway so id rather not go there.
Anyway back onto todays game,we are at home to Hereford and hopefully go 9 clear at the top :thumb:

scooby-tc 19 February 2014 06:24 PM

We won 7-0 :thumb: and are 8 points clear after Cambridges draw last night
