Prosport gauges - please help - have I been ripped off?

Hello all,

Any help here will be greatly appreciated.

I have just taken delivery of 3x Prosport Stepper gauges: boost, oil pressure & oil temp that I bought from a guy off of here and I'm starting to get that nasty feeling that my £160 has been horribly wasted...

They were sold as working and were already mounted in an ATI center pod and I went ahead and bought a couple of fitting kits from Scoobyparts in anticipation of having them fitted this Saturday.

Anyway, the gauges have come as shown in pictures, no extra wiring no nothing. And a snapped mounting clip

Gauges:

Fitting kit that I bought:

Can anybody tell me which bits I am missing and if possible where I can get them from?

Thats an electronic boost gauge isn't it?

Do you have the sender unit the pipe plugs into?

If not I have one.

Yes it's electric, you have one spare - is this all I need to make the gauge work?

You're talking about the pipe in my fitting kit that you tee-off of the dump valve piping right?

Thanks !! :)

It should be. I also have the little filter you need to fit both brand new, never used.

Looking at the instructions you just plumb it in and wire the sender to the gauge.

Yes. Tee off the Pipe goes to the sender then wires up to the gauge.

Does the wire have the little plug that goes into the back of the gauge?

Sadly no, thats a seperate item.

Look at the pics in this thread and it shows the bits needed.

I have the black sender which has a tail of wire but not the length with the plug. Maplins could probably do that. I also have the little filter you need to fit before the sender.

I also have a brand new never fitted mechanial Prosport gauge too. :norty:

I am not sure about having a mech gauge as if I do have any I would like them all to do that sweep at the start. May of course change my mind..

I have just been looking on Xyber Autos and have asked them if they sell the wiring kits, failing that I may end up having to buy three new gauges. Or I could just sell what I have and lose a little cash.

I think my mechanical gauge does the sweep thang? I'm sure someone will be able to let you know.

If you need anything PM me.

Have spoken with the seller now, appears to have been crossed wires as he had taken a lot of calls on the gauges and had said that he could remove the pod but not all of the wiring etc until his mechanic could do it - either mistakenly didn't tell me or I didn't realise.

Either way, should be on track for a good outcome with a little more waiting :)
