Itunes 10.4 Problems on Windows 7 PC

Help please....

I downloaded the latest version of Itunes using the Apple software upgrade tool on my pc, all went well and installed fine, no problems...

But.. now when I open Itunes up instead of getting the Apple shop I get a white screen, nothing showing... I tried to sync my Iphone and it goes really really slowly and sometimes locks the pc up, I'm running windows 7 on my new pc.. everything has been fine up until now...

I tried a new download of Itunes and installed using the repair function, all istalled fine but still the same problem exists..

any ideas anyone?

cheers

Andy

Have a read of this

It seems like the store issue is due to Safari being installed (probably Safari 5.1, which is the latest)

Hi Markus..

I'm using Google Chrome and not Safari as in the thread...

Is Chrome the problem?

If I uninstall everything which part is it I need to keep is it the my music folder and everything under that folder?

cheers

Andy

Is Safari installed though? If so, follow the steps and see if it makes a difference. It's probably something in the new webkit in Safari 5.1 that is fouling things up.

Alas iTunes on the PC is really rather rubbish. Apple isn't overly interested in creating software for machines not running OS X, and so it just pays lip service to the others

I know I'm going to get trashed for this but I just have to say it.

Apple are very interested in creating software for machines that run Windows, have a think, how many times have people mentioned on here PC vs Mac market share, too many times, if you think Apple don't understand that a majority of it's online revenue is via Windows software then you need a wake up call.

Put on a fresh install of Windows then install iTunes, it'll run great, add software to suit, now when iTunes doesn't work you can blame the last piece of software you installed or just blame Windows and it's lovely registry.

You can't call Apple a money grabbing marketing machine and accuse them of throwing away money by ignoring a huge market.

Rant over.
