Dual mass flywheel by the sounds of it as they are prone to failure, How many miles has the car done ??

What year and engine is in your focus? rob84 may be onto something with the DMF, and they ain't cheap!!!!

Car has done 70kmiles its on 2004.. I have looked up DMF and they cost a bomb!! I bought the car last yr as a cheap run about..

few options really, either replace the dmf as they are prone and at that many miles its done well. or just put up with it until it fails completely. or fit a solid flywheel conversion for around £240

i was thinking of solid flywheel conversion but had a read up on them that they vibrate alot and cause crank failure?
