Cheers again for sorting out the vid Paul - awesome job :)

Thread seems to have died a death. I guess there can't be many 2011/12 Stis around. I've never seen another one on the road. In fact I can do a 200 mile round trip on a weekend and never see another Scoob.

I pick up my white 4 dr sti 340 r on Friday :luxhello:

Nice to see the thread resurrected. Post some pics of your new 340r and hope you enjoy as much as I do. Wherever you go it'll be a case of 'all eyes on the sti'. Great car.

Hi,
Mark from HT Autos, just managed to borrow a car for a couple of weeks so we can design a new 2011/12 Subaru WRX STi diffuser. If we have time ,may also design a few other parts. Very rough at the moment, but what do you think?? http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...s/DSC03696.jpg http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...s/DSC03698.jpg http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...s/DSC03700.jpg Cheers for looking, Mark @ HTAutos:) |
Looks very interesting Mark.
Does the centre section extend forward almost up to the sub frame now?

HT Auto rear diffuser fitted, added some rubber edging to it where it meets the bumper ...............
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/donald.clark/Diffuser.JPG It ends about half way along the wheel well, so decided to add an extension piece to take it almost up to the subframe and mounted using some existing holes (plus a couple of self tappers) in the wheel well stiffening.......... http://homepage.ntlworld.com/donald....ng%20point.JPG Used part of a plastic mixing tray cut to size and then covered it in heatshield tape as its above parts of the exhaust "Y" pipe.......... http://homepage.ntlworld.com/donald....0extension.JPG |

Looking good though :) |
would probably suit these better

Interestingly, cars with a cat produce more CO2 than cars without... |

question on the 340 r upgrade... does it remove the catalytic converter? I was reading what the 340 r upgrade supplies on the pro-r website and it said a decat mid section is provided. If this is the case, what does this do to the MOT?

Just a remap and back box change as far as I was aware. Don't think a manufacturer provided upgrade would ever remove the cat.

Probably find that it removes the second cat, keeping the first in will keep it MOT friendly.

That's what I thought, but was a little concerned when I read it. The dealer only charged me 1600 fitted for the 340 upgrade, whereas it is 1670 on the pro-r site for the kit (not fitted?). The price difference (£70 plus fitting) may cover the mid section.

Although slightly different for the Gen3 cars this is the basic turboback setup. As there is no cat in the up pipe (whereas the WRX has one) the cats become first and second http://www.wrxtuners.com/forums/atta...rx-exhaust.gif Top pipe in picture is a Gen 3 down pipe minus the 2nd CAT shielding/cover http://i739.photobucket.com/albums/x...I/IMG_0197.jpg |
