Alarm Help

hey looking for some advice/help I got out my m30 sigma alarm manual to reprogramme it to switch off the auto lock when start car coz it was doing my nut in

i then found the option to turn on the beep when arm/disarm alarm which i saw on toms car and thought was pretty cool

i then found the beep i could not hear, i popped the bonnet to listen and its very faint so i set of my alarm to see what would happen and this was the same, can only hear it with bonnet open i tried adjusting volume from soft to loud but does not get any louder just quieter

anyone any ideas as more worried about having a quiet alarm

Is it running on its battery back up for some reason? I.e fault in the wiring to the car battery etc.

To be honest neither do i. I did a quick google search and alot of things pointed to it running on a back up battery.

It's almost definitely a knackered siren. It does happen quite a bit. Usually caused by one of 2 things, water getting into the siren or a flat bbu inside the siren.

Its pretty simple to replace, disarm alarm, disconnect siren, connect new siren, arm alarm..
