Changing my seats - opinions please

Ok. So I have these seats in my classic now:

I can sell these ones and then buy these ones for more or less the same cost:
(These are not the actual ones, but the colour is the same.)

Obviously the ones I have now are newer, but I don't like the seating position. It feels like I'm too high up! The V-Limited ones certainly look lower and are far more desirable than the ones I have now due to their rarity.

Opinions please!

Yeah man, the ones I have now are nice seats and I really like them.
Maybe I'm just wanting a change. After sitting in my gf's brother Subaru for comparison the original seats are considerably lower than the newage ones.

There are a couple of things you can do with your current seats. One involves removing them and manipulating the seat base to make the springing sit lower so you sit further into the seat. The second involves HKS lowering rails. Do both of those and your seating position is much better. Search NASIOC for info on manipulating the seats to make you sit lower.

Yeah I did check a thread about modifying the seat base.
Not sure, I'm going to check the V-Limited ones on Saturday so I'll see what condition they're in first then make up my mind.

i prefer the look of newage seats but much prefer the hug and support of classic ones. they grip your bum better

Personally I couldn't live with the colour of the V-Limited ones..........have you seen them in the flesh. A bit like Marmite.............

Depends which ones you get. The V7 STI ones are excellent whereas the STI8 ones are for lardy Americans and the hatch STI ones I wouldn't put in a dump truck let alone a proper Scoob i.e. a classic :D

I have bug STI seats in my Ltd (not a V-Ltd after Version 4 ;)), and want the original light blue seats instead!!

I prefer the seats you have now :/
