MY05 - intermittent overheating

Hi - Can anyone point me in the right direction. My 05 scooby is overheating but only when accelerating, or under load. On tickover it stays at normal. If not stuck in traffic the gauge falls back to around the normal mark but if behind something it rises. The head gasket was replaced in Dec last year and ive had no trouble with it since now. Its using a lot of water, but no evidence of water in the oil or oil in the water - any ideas?

Sounds like the head gasket again to me personally.

Can't see why it would have gone again though unless it was either done poorly, or there is another issue somewhere?

hummm that doesnt sound good - it was repaired by a garage off here so definitely a reputable subaru repaired, who came highly recommended....Ill go back to them and see what they have to say - thanks anyway :)

Definitely your best bet as it hasn't been a year yet, always give the company a chance. :)

its certainly not looking good - this car has been the bairn of my life, grrrrr, lets hope the garage will repair it at a reduced / free cost :(

Thanks for the advise anyway :)

I had the same on my bug....the water pipe was split to the turbo and was simply evaporating as it hit the turbo and not a lot was visible.......... Long shot though :(

what was it in the end ??
