Hi peeps
Which side on gearbox wil I find my neutral position sensor on MY53 wrx sti Cheers Adrian |
Its on the nearside high up on the gearbox. Reverse light switch is also there. From memory its the black connector. The box needs to be dropped a little to get the switch out
|
As above really, drop the rear of the box a little and go over the top of the gearbox on the nearside and you'll find it. Can confirm it is the black connector you are looking for:thumb:

Can this sensor be linked out to give ecu signal that it's always in gear?
|
Nope the ecu does need to see neutral. Whats your problem? Its easily changed in an hr and if i remember correctly the switch cost me £38. Ive replaced mine twice in the 8 years ive had the car

Ive got this niggling missfire after changing gear(not always tho) Seems a little sluggish and feels like its on the verge of missing until it gets nearer boosting. Have been told it could poss be the sensor but then maybe not. Just thought i would change as matter of course. Process of elimination. Cheers Adrian |
Yes sounds like the vvt isnt working which is controlled by the nps
