Every now and then a particular genre of the dance music spectrum will delve into the commercial charts sometimes doing more harm than good and portraying the incorrect image of that genre. Sometimes it gives good exposure, sometimes bad. Trance was it in the 90's, house was around 2003-2006, then electro was the bandwagon to be hoisted onto and more recently dubstep. Every man and his dog want a piece of dubstep now, most of it sh1t chart pap. To quote a certain Paul Van Dyk - "Trance has become a dirty word. Thanks to Ian Van Dahl, Lasgo, Flip 'N' Fill and DJ Sammy, a generation of kids has grown up thinking trance is the shittiest music since country and western." Someone will no doubt say ALL Trance music is sh1t, but they're gay :D |
Oh yesssssssssssss! I have this on a mix tape. Thanks for posting as I never did know who the artist was
