My Bug GX restoration project
 

This is the one I saved from the breakers...
A few weeks back I was looking for a project car and came across this on the net, travelled a fair few miles and it was on a very sorry estate, the damage was a lot more that what was described, the shock where all dead, the clutch was gone, the body was pretty much destroyed and the bloke was about to scrap it..

So I made a low offer, haggled a bit and finally agreed to buy it.

Here is how I got it and the progress so far...

So far, I have replaced, drivers wing, slam panel, passengers front door, wing reinforcing bar, bumper bar, fitted STI shocks and springs, replaced the missing alloy wheel, re-fitted the alarm, tidied up the electrics, fixed a leak on the exhaust, I'm 3/4 through tinting the windows and still plenty to do before it goes for a re-spray, is just the waiting game for parts to arrive now...
