I think it maybe Rum that can help me here, does anyone know his number? What i want to do is insure a modified cosworth on a specialist policy, it'll be a ex race car, full cage, stripped etc but road legal etc.

I need to get a ball park figure for today, so if anyone can pass me a number for Rum or anyone else that can help.

Cheers

Skip.

If it's an RS I would suggest the RSOC insurance company - dominion plan. If you post on

Not wanting to start an RS thing here, but i find Scoobynet much better and more helpful, but i will try there as well.

I'm going to hopefully keep my scooby to, use both for track days etc, depends on things like insurance.

Try Flux on 08700 777888, do a lot of rally cars.

Yes but I meant, Dominion plan (which is the official RSOC insurer) is incredibly cheap - *especially* with heavily modified cars. Who else do you think would insure 500Bhp + modified cars ? but you have to be an RSOC member I believe to get the insurance.

Skippy, Gary is right. When I had my modified Cosworth insured through Dominion I paid £350 fully comprehensive with no restrictions. It even included track days, I believe.

I suggest you try them a.s.a.p and join the RSOC if you haven't done so already.

Not doing well with this, so far Dominion are ringing back, no one else is willing to touch it.

Gary

This is not looking good, £1250 for a 1500 mile policy from Dominion, can't afford that for a toy, migth have to just spend a few grand on my WRX and track that, guess SIDC track days are back on for me. Still open to any suggestions though, i do fancy a 400bhp race car as my toy.

Anyone got an idea how it'll effect my scooby insurance if it has big brakes, adj suspension, dp, etc.

I had my quick response from General Section.

I think this should now be in the insurance section, can it be transfered ?
