No pressure eh Steve, lol!!

I'll be honest, results have been going my way a little bit recently, so fingers crossed for another decent run.

I'm still looking forward to seeing Kev and this GR impreza on the grid as much as everyone else.

None yet! The finale of the British Championship is next weekend and the car won't be finished for that, so its going to be 2013 before it takes to the track.

Keep up the good work, will be watching with interest.

Car is currently in the spray shop: its still not finished, but its getting that way! :thumb:

Plan is to start testing in the first quarter of 2013, with a view to competing in the 2013 British Rallycross Championship. When I have some proper updates I'll be sure to post them here!

:lol1: Fear not, it will get finished!

Paint has now been applied and I should be popping down in the New Year to check on progress: I'll be sure to take the camera! ;)

You're killing me!!! :nono: the new year.....

Looking forward to it! As a matter of interest, are you competing in the March RallyCross at Lydenn Hill? I want to get into RallyCross and plan on go down to the March event.

All being well Kevin should be running the car at Lydden in March (though that was the plan last year! ;)).

I'll be there irrespective: hopefully giving Kevin a hand but, if not, taking pictures and watching some racing! :thumb:

A good place to start asking questions if you are thinking of getting into the sport is over on the Ten Tenths forum, specifically the Rally & Rallycross section:

Ten Tenths - Rally & Rallycross

There is a helpful "sticky" thread on there for getting into the sport, plus loads of the drivers post on the forum, so you can get your questions answered! :)

Great!! Hopefully the car is ready :D I can help by taking the pictures then as I am sure you will have your hands full :D

Been on ten-tenths, reading a fair bit....

Thanks

I've not been to see the car for a few months now, hoping to pop down and see it in the next couple of weeks: will be sure to take a camera if I do!

c.lyra 12 August 2013 03:33 PM

Please do :thumb:

Yes! :thumb: I haven't been over to see the car this year, but I spoke to Kevin a couple of weeks ago.

I believe the car is almost there, but he is now debating taking it hillclimbing instead. Must find the time to pop over and see him one weekend!

tbtstt 07 March 2014 09:21 AM

Another update (of sorts) to the story so far. Kevin sold his old two door shell to Gary Pusey, who subsequently transplanted the engine and running gear from his four door rallycross Scoob into it.

Great to see this shell staying in rallycross. I know Gary is down to run the BTRDA Championship in it and I'm hoping he'll show up to a British Championship round (or two) as well.

I seem to be struggling to clear a weekend to pop down and see Kevin and the car, but I’m hoping to run into him at Blyton this weekend. Assuming I do I will get the full story then! :thumb:

What a great pic - really has the essence of the Impreza in it :)

Not spoken to Kev since the Lydden round earlier in the year, need to have a catch up with him and find out how much further the car has got! :thumb:
