i'd buy one! dose it affect signal being metal and could you have different design engravings? HSV badge would be nice lol

Personally I think it is way too bulky.

I like the design. and idea.however if.you dropped the phone i. the case would the force.not just transfer through the case to the phone anyway?

or am i being stupid lol.

DCI Gene Hunt 25 July 2011 08:15 AM

Send it before - almost bought one from the US.

CREWJ 25 July 2011 08:30 AM

I like it but it does seem a bit big.

Seems to be well made at least.

Clarebabes 25 July 2011 09:13 AM

You need one of these:

;)

(I make them BTW) ;)

The Zohan 25 July 2011 09:31 AM

Nice work, personally i like and use the silicone cases as they also protect (to an extent) from shock due to dropping the phone.

I would be concerned about how the cases will wear out clothes/pockets they are put in and also how the case wears/affects the finish of the phone - do you line the cases with felt or some material ?

Gear Head 25 July 2011 10:31 AM

It looks good, but the buttons on the side look a little harde to access and as Zohan said, I'd be worried about it making holes in my pocket - literally!

Ant 25 July 2011 10:54 AM

Too bulky for me, it'd need to be lined inside also

Spoon 25 July 2011 11:31 AM

Looks a bit of class to me, though personally I won't buy a case that doesn't have the Multi-adapt function allowing for the phone to be clicked into a holder wherever you choose to place it.

:lol1:
This is coming from someone who has just bought a car that looks more like a blob of cum left out in the sun. :lol1:

Any chance of scratching the phone by putting it on or off, or through regular use?

Rob_Impreza99 25 July 2011 03:22 PM

You obviously have a talent with metal, that looks a bit bulky though and like someone has ponited out, if you drop it the shock looks like it could transfer onto the phone.

I'm using one of these on my 3GS, its a Tech21 imesh case with that D30 material that was featured on the dragons den.

Jaybird-UK 25 July 2011 04:34 PM

10/10 for engineering but that case isnt for me, shouldnt it have soft cloth on the inside?

chrisflorey 25 July 2011 05:27 PM

Cheers for all the comments...

Well, it seems most say it's too bulkly. I am looking how I can get this down more, I think I can use small bolts as this was made to suit m2.5 bolts, once I do that I can round off the corners more..... this is my first go so I am sure I can get it smaller.
But it does need to still be pretty strong, as I am aiming to sell these to building contractors to start with.

I signal is not affected, the two cut outs on the sides is where the antenna is .

I do plan to make the for the 3g as that is what I have .

I speak to Walt a few years back before he passed , he was ok with me doing one tinkerbell for my wife ;)

Also , yes I need to sort out a small lining for the inside of the case

Thanks chris

Ant 25 July 2011 05:38 PM

if you're going down the contractors root, you need to do a lot of shock testing as i think the metal case will make it better.

I see a lot of people with these

How much are they mate, i am sick of scratching my phone onsite lol

Rob_Impreza99 25 July 2011 08:26 PM

This one from Oakley would work well on a building site, its made from their pantented anti slip rubber that they use on their sunglasses
