Gearbox mount but not... What's it called? (Classic)

Above the gearbox mount at the top of the gearbox there is a bar that i can only imagine is called a gearbox stabilization bar, i believe that it stops the gear box excessively moving backwards and forwards and if worn could cause a knocking.
What is the exact name for this part and where can i get it apart from the dealers?
I've had a look on opposedforces.com but can't seem to find it.
I gave it a shake with my hand and it seemed as if there was play and knocking.
I've searched for gearbox mounts but it doesn't bring the part i want up.
The part in question looks like a bush with a rod coming off it about 10 inches long o-------. It is located very near the gear shifter as it goes from the cabin to the underneath of the car.

Thanks

Its part of the gear shift and the one shown is a 6MT.

Early 5MT parts shown here...............

http://opposedforces.com/parts/impre...llustration_1/

IT DOES NOTHING TO STABILIZE THE GEARBOX only the gearchange.

As Jura has posted fore & aft movement is controlled by the pitchstopper.

Thanks both, i'll check this out but this seem a bit too high for where the actual knocking is coming from.

Sounds as if it is coming from low down on the left but all my bushes and ball joints have recently been upgraded and it doesn't seem to be the CV joints.

Thanks
