miami blue 205gti

Im thinking of doing something bad and selling my 205gti , ive owned it for 5-6 years and just havent got time and money to throw at her , i took it of the road when i got my scooby ..

Ive got enough history with it to cover my living room floor !! original reciept of purchase and second reciept !!!

at the moment it has no tax or mot , since it was taken off the road its had new rad , heater matrix , waterpipe that goes by crank pully (geniune pug) new standard exhaust , new shock , new brakes , plugs ...

Spares ;-

alternator
starter
rear wiper motor
clyinder head
standard grill
flexi hose

It comes with full hit of extras power steering , abs , full leather , red carpet , full sunroof (that works) g reg , done 180k though .
she needs a tidy up polish , only rust on top of windscreen , Was running will get some petrol in her next weekend .

Remember its one of 300 1.9gti's made in this colour and they are getting rare and collectors items .

been offered a 1k as it is , but they want to track it so no sale , its gota go to a good home .

300, is that all they made in miami? Didn't seem that rare back in the day.

richgreenscooby1 17 July 2011 12:18 AM

Great colour - I had a miami blue 1.6 then put a Mi16 engine in it, great fun. Good luck with the sale.

Get some pics up.

To be honest £1k in them circumstances is good but understand the track thing. Could you maybe throw enough moolah at her to get an MOT? Then you can ask more. 180k is a lot but there are buyers out there, someone would bung a rebuilt engine in eventually. Sold mine with 12 previous owners and 150k really easy. How? Honest advert, good pictures, sensible price.

Miss it but needed money as you say throwing at it. Would have another though... With a turbo :D

Im away for a week next week , its got loads history , head work , gaskets , cam , valve stem oil seals , id love to keep it but you know how things are ...
I think i will get a mot on her when im back , got her fired up this morning sounded sweet , little bit smoky on start up but got good oil pressue and cleared ,so im happy with that ........
its pissing down at the min so no pics ...
i did at least 25k in her in 16months , went scotland , lakes , hull , and down south , it had to be the most fun i ever had ..

Im just prepared for someone to rip her to bits and rally or track her ....go buy a 400 quid one for that ...

How much are you looking for mate, I sold my mint condition 1.6 gti last december & looking for another, My mum had the limted edition one that you've got and regretted ever selling it.

Aaron1978 17 July 2011 03:50 PM

I had a 205 1.6 GTI Miami blue as my first car and loved it, sold it to get a 1.9 309 GTI. Had that for about two months then bought the 205 back.

Loved that car and if I had enough room for another car I'd have one tomorrow to tart up and keep.

Good luck if you sell pal, still one of the best handling cars I've driven.
