Picking this up in a couple of weeks :)

Sold the Scoob last August, and have a Freelander now, but still had the desire for something for a bit more fun - I was going to buy an E46 M3, but didn't want to spend the £12 or £13K that was required for one of suitable mileage and quality.

Decided on a proper toy :)

Ooohhh very nice...

What engine is it running?

martyrobertsdj 15 July 2011 08:05 PM

Yamaha FS1E 50cc.......... lol

Nah, in reality it's a Yamaha R1 5PW, plus Power Commander with two maps - one for emissions, one for power.

It's about 170 BHP, but in something under 500Kg, that should be enough.................for now :norty:

Paddleshift ...... mechanical for now, but I intend making the car a bit of a project, and aim to give it some development and a few tweaks here and there.

Looks really nice. I was (and still am) tempted by one of these... I was looking at the flat shifting kits (no need to come off throttle and use the clutch). Very nice!

Looks mental  what make & model is it? I've always hankered after a R500 ever since I saw one taking a sports bike apart on a track ...

TX.

does it have a reverse gear marty?

Fantastic!

It's an MK Indy kit car - built to a very high standard and with lots of little touches that show the guy didn't cut corners.

One-off vacuum moulded parts, machined bits and bobs, etc, nice finish to it, and the engineer who I got to inspect it was pretty impressed.

It doesn't have a reverse gear for now, but I'll either fit an electric one, or maybe wait and fit a Quaiffe unit as part of the "development" that I'd like to do on the car.

MK seem to be getting quite a reputation. My father sold a competition Westfield last year to buy a far faster and more competitive MK Indy R.

I quite like their Healey body upgrade too.
