Aircon Pulley Tensioner
Well, after a great day collecting a set of ramps I won on Ebay for the princely sum of £12, and fitted the genuine white side markers I bought for the bug, I made a boob of epic proportions by not undoing the locking nut before turning the tensioner bolt on the aircon pulley. The tensioner itself is made of plastic, so a couple of turns later it broke!! I bought a new one from the dealer (picking up tomorrow), but just need to know how easy it is to fit! Please tell me its easy!!
Thanks in advance! |
v easy to fit. just held on with a bolt.
I had the same problem, but rather going for a standard version, i went for a billet alloy one :) any excuse to post a pic. http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/...coob/photo.jpg |
Thanks for that, so is it just a case of undoing top two bolts, removing the bottom 'lock' nut and putting the new tensioner on? Is it easy to relocate the bottom pulley when it comes off?
