Thats very true, hadn't crossed my mind about the curtain airbags.
Anyway I prefer the tight cluster. :D

So that's why Subaru mount them on the Combimeter surround.

The airbag comes out of the top of the a pillar, the trim stays in place. The gauge will not be flying anywhere. This has been done to death on the US forums with pics etc after the bags have deployed. I'd happily fit one on the a pillar if there was a decent RHD mount.

Been looking at the omori myself from J Spec in the US, very nice :)

Tony

Subaru Part Number 46112AG000 - Cover E/G room RH

http://www.japanparts.com/db/partsli...EY=107-055-001

Plus all the usual extras.
You will need two clips P/N # 9091400063 to fit it and because we have an alarm bonnet switch it needs slight modification to fit.

http://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/...8297/note.aspx

Thought the battery cover aswell would be too much (it also needs modifying to fit the WRX)

As the cover uses the hole where the EGT connector sits I made a small aluminium bracket up to attach the connector and fitted it to the power steering pipes bracket.

I use Chemical Guys Heavy Duty Orange Degreaser, diluted, sprayed on and worked in using a small brush and then rinse off.
http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/images...eDegreaser.jpg
Takes two or three attempts to shift the stuff.:thumb:

The Red inlet manifold is original and has been difficult to get clean.
Still has some ingrained dirt on it.
It doesn't appear to be as bright a red as I remember STi manifolds.

It stays clean like the rest of the car, picture here at Snetterton yesterday........

Very tastefully done Don.

If I had to change one thing I'd go back to silver wheels - but that's just a personal choice.

Very nice, I like that.

Littleted 01 October 2011 06:05 PM

Budgie 01 October 2011 06:53 PM

HT Auto rear diffuser fitted, added some rubber edging to it where it meets the bumper ...............

https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...264d9200f3.jpg

It ends about half way along the wheel well, so decided to add an extension piece to take it almost up to the subframe and mounted using some existing holes (plus a couple of self tappers) in the wheel well stiffening..........

https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...c29bbe895d.jpg

Used part of a plastic mixing tray cut to size and then covered it in heatshield tape as its above parts of the exhaust "Y" pipe..........

Just completed the JDM auto folding mirrors on locking installation

Mirror folding button on dash panel still performs as normal.(and still not illuminated Tony :D)
Mirrors fold on locking car using either door button or alarm fob.
Mirrors unfold AFTER unlocking car and pressing start button to ACC position.

As UK cars have double locking system, trigger feed to fold then is slightly different to the supplied instructions.

Separating harness, not absolutely necessary, but those with Pioneer Satnav will/should already have one fitted that can be used.
