Tachometer installation in MY99
 

I need some help installing a glow shift tach with three wires (power, ground and tach). I need to know where they all go behind the cluster... would help greatly if you could give me exact color/wire codes.

I found a color code that said:
Accessory 12v switched is yellow with blue stripe
Ground is the solid black wire
tachometer is the solid blue wire

Wiring colour codes change from year to year, from model to model, even from car to car, so should NOT be relied on.

If it were me, I'd START with those colours, but have the instrument cluster out and trace where they ACTUALLY go.

Thanks mate, it did take me 5 minutes to trace the circuit to the right wire. It was the orange with white stripe wire on the right plug of my cluster
