I didn't see the fight but from what I gather this thread and the man himself belong in the muppet room. :)

forister 03 July 2011 06:00 AM

your right''''

jayallen 03 July 2011 07:22 AM

He spent the whole fight on the back foot looking for that big punch and got totally out boxed in he process!

TBH he is all mouth and im glad he got taught a boxing lesson....:thumb:

MRSIMPSON 03 July 2011 09:31 AM

I felt the whole 'toe' thing was a little embarrassing... He was totally out boxed

WhiteWagonMan 03 July 2011 11:05 AM

He was outclassed in every way, what an embarrassment to britain, bad toe my ass.:(

P1Drifter 03 July 2011 05:35 PM

what a ****e fight, almost as bad as the harrison fight

Aaron1978 03 July 2011 10:43 PM

So David Haye has blamed the defeat on a broken toe.

Probably dropped a hardcopy of "Arsene Wenger's book of excuses" on it

Evolution Stu 04 July 2011 07:38 AM

He was hardly outclassed guys, he did 12 rounds with one of the most effective heavyweights of our time that also possesses two belts and he came out virtually unharmed and with seemingly plenty left to give.

The fact is, his style wouldn't allow him to get inside the bigger mans reach. Klitchiko's style is almost impenetrable due to his size. The toe issue makes it all sound so poor and probably should have been left quiet but its understandable that he didn't announce it before the fight for obvious reasons.

i think if he had kept his yap shut before the fight folks would have a bit more sympathy. Def a case of his bark is bigger than his bite.

No arguments there from me.

I disagree. The big man went 12 rounds with a little man with a broken toe without hurting him. Hardly outclassed in my opinion.

Hatton Vs Pacman or maybe Hatton Vs Mayweather are accurate example's of outclassed.

Funkii Munkii 04 July 2011 01:38 PM

Haye did not deliver on his promise of coming out all guns blazing, he was continually on the ref's case, always looking to the ref for a decision whinging when he didn't get it. Klitch took the piss out of him.

As for the whole toe thing :lol1:

This one goes out to David Haye

stef_2010 04 July 2011 01:57 PM

Size, reach, weight and toes shouldnt matter a jot

He said hed knock him out, I wouldnt have even gave him one round in all honestly, maybe the 3rd if I was feeling very generous

Klitchiko completely controlled the whole thing

Thats the last 3 David Hay fights I've paid for that have been pretty much a joke

urban 04 July 2011 03:58 PM

A broken toe would have mattered a lot.
However - with that being the case, he should really have postponed the fight

So Haye managed to suck at least one person in then ;)

How so ??, when he was trying to land the big rights he had to launch himself, he wasn't launching off of a small toe, ball of foot yes :thumb:

I have seen plenty of fighters carry on with broken hands, Ali went 10 rounds against Norton famously with a broken jaw, Haye should have kept that one quiet instead of trying to use it as an excuse and making himself look a fool.

His behaviour in the ring was reminiscent of a footballer, reminded me of Ronaldo the amount of times he went down :lol1:

urban 05 July 2011 09:20 AM

I'm not defending his actions - they were pityfull by all accounts, and footballer-esque.

But I still say he was stupid to fight with a broken toe.
I doubt he'll ever get a rematch either.

Maz 05 July 2011 08:10 PM

Klitschko was magnanimous in victory. He even thanked Haye's fans for showing their support, something Haye didn't do.

MRSIMPSON 05 July 2011 10:23 PM

Klitschko thanked the British fans even after they embarrassed their country by booing at the Ukraine's national anthem. He won my support, a credit to boxing.

Will 06 July 2011 03:49 PM

He's taking all the piss take in good spirit.
