How do I fit a manual boost controller

I have dug out an old boost controller which I took of an old rs turbo. It is a two piece kit with a small block with 3 pipes coming out with an arrow saying "arrow points toward wastegate actuator" ant the other is the controlle piece with 2 pipes! :wonder:

Can somebody please explain to me how to fit this to my 1999 impreza all supporting pics will also be a big help :thumb:

bad idea do yo want to blow your car up by just turning the boost up. good luck rather you than me

It's really not a good idea to mess about with the boost buddy. The cars fueling is set up to run at a certain boost level, by increasing the boost and not having the car mapped could cause disastrous problems.
If you really want to up the boost (a little) then you need to be getting the car booked in with a decent mapper. He will advise you on boost levels etc.

They are fine if you dont go crazy with the boost. I've had a dawes device for 5 years and not had an issue. I use mine to cap overboost, which can cause damage.

Here is the guide: http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.p...oostController

Thanks for the advice guys guess I'll leave it as it is just that I found it in the garage thought I'd have a play with it. It's already boosting at 17psi ain't got a clue what mods she has had done apart from a full stainless with de-cat, k&n panel filter and a baileys dump valve. It's a uk spec but I can outrun my mate in his jap wrx

Good decision, as i could see this post being renamed in a couple of weeks to,

`Why did i fit a manual boost controller`

if its running 17 psi then its already been remapped and if its a MY99 its likely to be an ECUtek map. If you want to up the boost further then get a map tweek for £150ish.
