scoobynet new boy

Hi everyone, had my classic scoob sti for a few months now and just got around to joining. Just a couple of questions for you first up I've been told that my car was mapped using v power and has only ever been run on it since it was imported but my local shell garage has changed to an esso 1 and now the nearest shell garage is a bit of a drive. There's a Tesco near me and was thinking about using momentum 99 just wondering if anyone else has done this and had any problems? Also does anyone know where I can get a rear wiper from as everywhere I've tried only does the front 1s. Cheers

Tesco's 99 is fine.Roughly half of my mate's use tesco and really like it.I always run v power and most people say they're pretty much the same.
Not sure on the wiper though.Have you tried eBay?

Welcome btw.

Danny.

Hi lad, i tried Tesco momentum the other day. Didn't like it at all, didn't seem to pull half aswell as v power, so i've tried esso super unleaded instead, although thats 97 not 99

I wouldn't put anything else in the tank if it's been mapped for vpower without speaking to the/a mapper and then I'd get it checked for det after I'd put different fuel in.

Tesco momentum may be ok but is it worth the risk? You're best off getting it checked just to make sure :thumb:

Not sure what to do now really its a pain because all the shell garages seem to be shutting down near me! There is 1 but its a bit out the way but if there's a risk of tescos 99 causing probs might jus stick with v power. Didn't think of eBay for the wiper il have a look. Cheers for the help every1

I couldn't imagine it being a problem if they were both 99 but as i'm not sure if it would damage anything its prob best stick to v power till you get it checked out.

If you can't get vpower I would seriously recommend getting a tuner to sit in the car with his det cans on whilst you give it the beans, it's the only way to make sure it's safe.
