MANUEL STI ECU SWAP TO A FORSTER AUTO

Is it possible to use a ecu out of a STI manual into a sf5 forester auto same years
Reason am asking i have a s1 ecu that run on 440 injectors i thinks! am wanting to transplant them on to my SF5 forester auto, Ive tried the ecu out of the sti, forester starts 1st time but engine check light is on, could this be down not having the 440 yellow injectors on yet or down to maff maybe being different,
Started 1st & ticks over ok

the manifolds look exactly the same just injectors are 440

Assuming its a UK SF5 auto........ but what model year? The SF5 Forester went "newage" with the MY01.

For a start the cams on the SF5 are much "softer" than the WRX/STi, therefore breathing will be different. It also runs the smaller TF035 turbo.

The Auto also has its own Transmission Control Unit which talks to the ECU and I doubt whether the WRX/STi one will have the necessary.

Could ask the question in the Europe Forum on http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f75/

So its a JDM S/Tb? - could have saved a line of typing :D:D

Some on subaruforesters have looked at sorting the auto but due to the TCU - no go.

At first you must rewire TCU to ECU(if you want to do),because TCU working in one with ECU(he controlling Torque Control Cut Signal,Load,Torque Control Signal etc) and you will probably will not unable to downshift, jerkiness etc.
