Get a plain a4 piece of paper and press it lightly on exhaust tip and it will give you a fine black circle of the exhaust soot, then measure circle
|
The exhaust tip isn't an indication of the bore........measure the circumference(string) and use google to find a converter to diameter :D

As Shaun said, I think its the Circumference divided by pie (3.14)
Rob PS its been a long time since Ive had to use pie so I could be wrong ;) |
You should probably use PI rather than some kind of filling surrounded by pastry ;)
Circumference = 2 x PI x radius So radius = circumference / (2 x PI) Therefore Rob is right, apart from the pie |

Circumference = 2 x PI x radius So radius = circumference / (2 x PI) Therefore Rob is right, apart from the pie Internal bore will be slightly smaller by about 5mm. And divide diameter mm reading by 25.4 to get the answer in inches. :thumb: |
The circumference you ought to be seeing is:
2.5" bore = 200mm circumference, and give for the gauge of steel 3.0" bore = 240mm "" "" "" Rob |
