help, down on power!
 

Hey, I've a '01 bugeye wrx thats down on power, only noticed since it only made 200hp on the dyno, I plugged it in and it has a miss on all 4 cylinders and give the airflow meter as well.

Also its running lean!

The techie reckons it could be an airflow meter or knock sensor. And to also check the fuel pump and filter for teh running lean bit.!

I don't want to go changing stuff i dont need to but has anyone had a problem like this before? I hadn't noticed it was down on power, It starts and runnings fine.

Just wanted to ask here before i go spending large amounts of moneys.!

215PS or 212bhp std. So not that down i.e. only 5.7% loss. That could be down to basic compression loss over 10 years and or less then perfect target boost due to the original BCS or wastegate not performing to their best (due to age). Plus not all engines would be bang on 212bhp anyway - some more, some less.

That said, the miss on all cylinders - for whatever reason - is no doubt responsible, and where to start troubleshooting from.

What were the AFR's if they were measured?
