Coilpacks?
 

Anyone changed the single coilpack on a classic to the multi coilpacks from a newage? If so, how did you do it? Trying to cure a misfire which I think is ignition related.

FWIW, I think the single coilpacks are extremely reliable and are not likely to be the cause of any issues you have. Have you tried swapping your coil with another one or tried putting it on another car?

Since the newage coilpacks have built in ignitors you will have to tap the wiring for them pre-ignitor. The wires to the ignitor are paired as cylinder 1,2 and 3,4. You would therefore connect the wire for 1,2 to the coilpacks on cylinder 1 and 2, then do the same for the 3,4 wire.

Hi this job is on my list , where is the best place to buy the 2002 on coil packs , as they are alot more reliable do i need to buy new ones.

Car has lots of mods & c450hp so thinking that single coilpacks are either too old, knackered or just not up to the task! Not tried either of your suggestions yet ...

Any ideas as to who might help me install the newage ones? Someone in Berks would be ideal ...
