As far as I can gather on the JDM Sti7 if it has HID lights and rear smoked glass it has front LSD.Does anybody know differently

Have a look on the Keyring Cars page they have all the JDM combinations tabulated

For 2002 cars, either the GR or GI cars have HID, smoke glass & suretrac.
KR cars only have HID & smoke screen but no suretrac.

Does that apply to Japan MY2000?

MY2001?? MY2000 is still the GC8 Impreza.
I think the codes are the same for MY01.

I thought for 2000 bugeyes (ie MY01) they had to be GL's to have the suretrak.

Yes but if its second hand from Japan how do you tell its a GL.
