Recirc and inlet issues....
Hey guys!
Need some advice please.... I have a 99 classic currently running 350ish, I have an hdi fitted and 550 injectors to be fitted, both are being remapped for on the 23rd. If I can get the cash before I shall be doing parallel fuel rails and fpr for the remap aswell.... If I do the fuel rails etc I shall be replacing he inlet manifold at the same time with a freshly powder coated one I have in the garage... My question is: Whilst the inlet manifold is off, is it worthwhile changing the inlet hose to the turbo with a silicone one? I have the opportunity to get a well known performance parts group n silicone inlet hose which has no outlets on it so I would need a catch can set-up aswell. Is this a worthwhile mod? Also what are the thoughts on running a vf34 without a recirc dumpvalve? The car was mapped without one... Obviously if i fit the group n hose I'd not be able to have one anyhow... Cheers |
Personally i would change to Silicone hose, its worthwhile upgrade on any car, catch can is also good addition.
I was run VF34 with Forge recirc, and personally i would run with recirc(if you are need adapter ask here Harvey),VF34 are tougher turbos which are OK run without the recirc or VTA,but if you are running without you will loose spool.. Jura |

If the inlet is coming off already ,then its a no brainer imho ,worthwhile upgrade on it own.As said above fit a recirc unless you think there is something to be gained by running no dv.

Well that's he crisis, if I fit the inlet hose, then I will not be able to have he re-circ as it's a group n it has no breather outlets or hole for re-circ.
