its all out the car and ready to go

You may want to check but I think the face will pull away and leave the single din unit to be fitted straight into the dash or a newage pod :thumb: shame I cant afford it mate :(

L.J.F 05 July 2011 08:17 AM

With this you can check engine fault codes and reset the ecu. As already stated above the front can be removed and the it fits into the din pocket on the newage:)

Gambit 05 July 2011 11:20 AM

if you pull the front of it will not fit into a single din. its only the circuit boards attached the face, and then the plug connector harness is attached to the bracket

would love that Digi Display version though, ive the previous cheaper LCD version. its a great toy GLWS :)

Sorry i meant the plastic pod can be removed and then fitted into the single din.

joey_turbo 05 July 2011 01:31 PM

This will need either a new faceplate to go into a DIN slot, or you could just cut it to size.

beliblisk 05 July 2011 02:48 PM

How hard it is to make this thing work and where can other sensors be obtained?

Thanks

The Trooper 1815 05 July 2011 02:56 PM

These are just plug and play into an OBD equipped vehicle (99 onwards I think?)with the cable which should be provided. The DEFI Gauge senders fit into the rear in the empty ports.

Hope this helps.

I'd be soooooo tempted to get this but I don't have an OBDII port.

I assume its a 16 pin connector Kirsty?

Yes mate. It's saved my bacon and a load of cash awhile ago. I plugged mine into a mates Scoob the other day to diagnose a fault from a Code, reset the ECU and clear the fault. Saved him buying a new MAF :thumb:.

beliblisk 06 July 2011 09:51 AM

So if i understand this correctly. This unit is used to monitor stuff(data comse from cars sensors + additional ones if needed),check fault codes and reseting ECU. Does it have peak value option?

kirstybumx3 09 July 2011 12:14 PM

sold

McGoo 01 July 2015 11:34 PM

I know this is an old thread but can one of these monitors be used to turn off fault codes completely?

Ive just removed my secondary air valve and wish to turn of the fault codes

Cheers

No, you need it turning off by a mapper.
