i need a scooby back in my life:(

hi guys since iv broke my scooby at x mas i brought a r33 skyline gtst spent money on it to get to stage 1 320 bhp i found it boring as im no drifter.u just don t get the same power delivery as a scoob. u guys think scoobs are exspensive to run there mental lol.so sold that lol.
Now got a 02 plate s3 and boy are they slow lol is there really a turbo there lol.got to admit tho is nice to cruise around in and still getting a average of 33 mpg lol.So now gonna start saving for another classic for w.e but shh don t tell the gf lol she will go crazy lol.Have any of u guys left the scooby world and regreted? cheers rob

I left a few years ago after having a few legacy turbo estates. Regretted it instantly. I had a few hot hatches (yawn) then I too bought a 2002 S3. I had this mapped to 260ish and it was a good solid felling car that handled well and went like a train. That was only 3 doors so I now have my 56 reg wrx hawkeye wagon which is fast and practical. An S3 and a weekend subaru sounds a good balance.

I'll say it before someone else does - It is is 'bought', not 'brought'! :D
I don't often let poor grammar worry me, but these two words have entirely different meanings!

I believe PS Lewis sold his Subaru and bought a Honda and deeply regrets that :D

I believe that Honda gave him the car, looking forward to all the free publicity :lol1:

I know what you mean about the skyline, my mrs has one and although its quick it just doesnt feel it compared to the impreza.

Get a classic type r, that should bring a smile back!

scooby-boy-123 06 June 2011 06:18 PM

Im looking to sell my type r to buy a newer scoob ;)

yea they pull ok but i miss that aggressive pull that i got from my 320 bhp wrx.Yea does sound like a good balance but its exspensive to insure both at 21 lol.handling is ok but nothing compared to my classic on tein coilovers mate.

sonic93 06 June 2011 07:31 PM

yea skyline just so heavy and smooth. scoobs have got the handling and great power delivery .

I left the scooby world around 3 years ago :(

It was one of the sadest days of my life when I waved good bye to it as it dissapeared up the road without me. I nearly  lol

I missed it soooooooooooooo much that I bought another classic on Saturday! :norty: And loving it again :p

Yeah i had scoob withdrawal as well. Sold my Sti8 in 2005 and bought a TypeR ltd last year after trying an S2000. The bought a Porka (Which i still have!).

The TypeR has cost me shed loads of cash, but glad to be back !

i'm on my 2nd scoob.. had a classic, and got rid 3 years ago.. went to a fabia vrs diesel which was awesome.. loved it to bits, but missed power! went down the evo route and bought an evo 4...lovely quick car, but too damn expensive to maintain.... bought my second scoob 3 months back... an r reg classic... its a rolling project which i use on a weekend for fun whilst doing it up.. hopefully back to factory standard in next 18 months.
