a bit jumpy.

Hello guys :) I have a 01 wrx uk model

When im driving along in a high gear 4th or 5th it jumps like theres not enough power there! Is it just the way its being driven?

Example: 4th gear just under 40mph just over 1.5k rev's and it felt like it wanted to cut, as soon as i accelerate into higher speed & rev's and hold it there i don't have a problem.

Thanks for your time :D

Try a fault code test procedure first, to see if anything comes up that might point you in the right direction...

Is that 1 of them computers you have plugged into that car?

For your Bugeye, you need a free public domain program like RomRaider installed on a laptop, plus the correct OBDII comms cable (cheap enough). Then you're good to go...

Yes, it's one of those OBDII interfaces that you can plug into your car.

If you floor it in a lower gear does the car do the same?
Does it start to accelerate and lose power? If so then I'd look at when the plugs were last changed.
Had a similar behaviour on mine and we found that one of the plugs that had been installed at the service was faulty.
Changing it fixed the problem.

Guys where can i get this software / command cable from

Wag1 06 June 2011 03:51 PM

Thank's for that guys i will have a look at the software and buying a cable :D

It only does it when im doing a low average speed as soon as i accelerate it stops even when i hold it at high revs it doesn't do it but once the revs are low it just doesnt want to know and starts jumping, I will check the sparks out as i know i can do that quicker than getting a obd11 lead and software :)

Cheers, downloaded this today. It looks a bit daunting when you see the screenshots, what with all the logging and graphs....

Where would be the best place to get an OBDC11 lead from
