Cracking purchase Andy. :thumb: Bet it drives a fair bit better than the bugeye. :D The new colour wheels seem to suit the car better than when it was gold. Agree, you need a new splitter. ;)

Were they refurbed STi wheels? How much did you get for them? Is it true they only fit on STi's?
Yes Andy, they were the original gold STi wheels. I got £300 from memory. And they are 114.3 PCD so will only fit late 05 onwards STI's only, which is why they are a bit more difficult to sell as the market is some what limited. Gotta say tho, I still really like those wheels, I think subaru got them dead right. And interestingly, I find the car drove/handled better on the 17's rather than the 18's. |

Just got my first bill for the new car. It had an ABS fault - took them 5.5 hours to trace it by testing wires etc as the sensor had been changed by the previous owner - £445. Still, if that's it done then I'll at least be rid of the problem. Runs very well other than that. |
Hi Andy,
No, I love the way it looks on the 18's, they fill the arches much more. Its only when really pushing hard on track that its not quite as sharp. On the road, you wouldn't really know, just a bit bumpier I guess.

Hey Lucky, was the difference in handling sufficient so you wish you had never fgone to 18s - would you not recommend it?

Hey Banny.
Do you mean they're brittle and break too easily? Litcho's front lip is over £400 inc VAT, which seems silly money! Prodrive is half the price! Yes In the cold weather it becomes very stiff and if you hit it a piece will break off and in the warmer weather becomes very soft and crack easily. Maz finally bit the bullet and bought a chargespeed one after having 3 HT autos and a mate also broke 2. Intial cost is expensive but for the ballache caused in the long run you will wish you had gone for a proper one :thumb: |
I like those wheels, mind you I would :thumb:
I was impressed with the quality of my HT Autos splitter, it looks OEM and was a very good price. I've not had any problems so far. Fit wise, it clips on to the standard clips and then there were 15 (IIRC) self tappers which just felt wrong using but they have done the job. Nice car, shame about the wife's accident. |

For what its worth my splitter was from revolution, and has been on the car now for 4 years with no probs atall. I think if it took a whack on a kerb it may break fairly easily but its gone through several track days, a trip to the ring at high speed and it still looks good. Think it was about £110?? |

Funny, I read a 2009 thread where an owner thought his Revolution splitter was poor quality - you don't think so mate?

From my own experience, it been really good. I am careful with it although its taken a few whacks on high kerbs and has been fine. But it hasnt lost shape or faded in 4 years. Would defo go for another when I need one. |
Will just have to be careful then!
cheers Lucky Andy |
