Don't know yet as not had my bill credit card bill and cant be bothered to try and check.

We only applied for about £80s worth for the football at Coventry so it may be a better chance.

ahar 03 June 2011 10:34 PM

£0 of £200. I thought that the athletics tickets I applied for might be a stretch, but I'm surprised that midweek afternoon non finals Judo was booked out !?! I work in central london so was hoping to pop along one afternoon :(

All these folk, bidding(!) for something and then paying if lucky enough to win, but, not knowing what they have paid for :cuckoo:

Crazy people, IMO.

It's in the UK, watch the damn thing on the TV, let the foreign nationals buy the tickets, book the hotels and B&B's and boost our economy. :thumb:

DaveMiddleton 04 June 2011 08:52 AM

Only applied for 2 x £725 tickets for 100 meters. No joy.

dynamix 04 June 2011 09:04 AM

This'll make you feel better then ... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...s-tickets.html ...

"... City fat cats emerged victorious in the battle for Olympics tickets yesterday as organisers admitted that less than half the seats at showpiece events are earmarked for the public.

The majority are ‘freebies’ going to a parade of corporate sponsors, Olympic bigwigs and their VIP guests.

A quarter of a million applicants failed to get a single ticket in the public ballot. But now it has emerged that only 32,000 out of 80,000 seats in the Olympic stadium – about four in ten – were even available to them for the most popular events. ..."

Typical Dail crap sensationalism, what they fail to mention is that the "city fat cats" are official 2012 sponsors and have paid between £10m and £40m to support the games, entitled to tickets? I'd say so.

...and what about the UK taxpayer who has forked out up to twelve BILLION pounds for this giant circus - i'd say they were entitled to a few (free) tickets n'all???

I suppose that these days with selfish leaders etc. that was inevitable and the sort of thing that one can expect.

I think however that it is a shameful performance.

Miniman 05 June 2011 07:22 PM

£68 of £205

Though I think they are 3 day eventing (for the wife and daughter), which is basically all over Greenwich park, so I guess no seats. Nothing for me and the lad.
