Lino flooring in new summer house ??

Asking this on behalf off my mate who has just had a summer house delivered , okay his plan was to lay linoleum flooring down within , happened to mention this to the chap who delivered the house and was advised that this was a bad idea as in years to come the condensation from the wood flooring would have no where to go and rot the wood ??

ths correct, and if so is there anything that the wood can be treated with to prevent this happening ??

cheers

Many moons ago when I worked for Hilti, and did a lot of business with preservation companies, I was told the same thing. The biggest problem seemed to be with older properties with wooden floors and no underfloor ventilation or sealed-up air-bricks or vents. I'd imagine that as long as there was sufficient ventilation beneath the floor, or proper insulation (or a combination) then this wouldn't be a problem and most modern buildings - including summer houses - should have this.
