R6HNN 12 July 2011 10:25 PM

Thanks guys, I found someone breaking a crystal grey sti and travelled 400 miles last night to go and get it... Is there an award for dedication?

b16msu265 12 July 2011 10:31 PM

Hell ya, 400 miles? Well it looks top class mate. u got the guys number? If so can u pm me it thanks

R6HNN 18 August 2011 06:32 PM

ive been a busy boy... ive got myself an STI TMIC, followed by this:

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/b...0818-00320.jpg

I also got in touch with Ian at Godspeed and uprated my brakes (thanks to mandeep for being my personal courier :))

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/b...0813-00297.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/b...0813-00298.jpg

Today I finally realised my US sized plates look poo, so swapped them with my tinted set...

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/b...0818-00315.jpg

and then i fitted my STI fog light covers, which i had been trying to get hold of for ages!

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/b...0818-00316.jpg

question now is should i remove the STI decals from the covers?

next step is to save up some money for a remap, fit the VF43 and the Prodrive WR1 fuel pump donated to me by Iain...

wiley 18 August 2011 07:02 PM

Looks phat, I do prefer the smaller plates though. New turbo will give some nice power when all fitted and mapped

Nice one mate some nice choice mods too.

I'd remove the stickers personally and add your own touches?

Steve

martin850 18 August 2011 09:01 PM

You will love your car even more once your new go faster parts are fitted :thumb:

I would also remove the stickers from the covers.

Is there a particular way to do it? I don't want the plate to shatter and cause me to go blind...

Looking good mate coming along v nicely.

R6HNN 24 September 2011 11:55 PM

right, im in a bit of a pickle regarding getting the turbo on and mapping it. everyone ive spoken to has given me different advice on who to use. the names that keep coming up are:
* fb tuning
* dynamix
* jolly green monster
* bob rawle
* zak @ mocom

ive been given different prices from each, and im quite stuck.

the story so far is: the car is running a bit poo at the moment (over fuelling/misfiring) so will need a bit of tuning up before mapping. however, its been mapped previously and may be running badly due to the previous map. theres a VF43 turbo and uprated fuel pump which need to be fitted before mapping. and last but not least, im not a millionaire.

any help/advice/recommendations greatly appreciated.

a5h 25 September 2011 12:13 AM

Mate in my experience honest opinion you cant go wrong with FB as he will fit it, map and not charge you the earth.

Jolly Green Monster 25 September 2011 12:28 AM

Nice looking car.

Should go well with vf43 on it.

Can organise turbo and pump fitment, collection, mapping with before and after dyno printouts, finished off on the road and returned to your drive. Or you can be more involved, bring it over to have turbo fitted and then onto dyno and road mapping and drive it home same day with a big smile ;) however you want.
