Wont rev past 5000 rpm???
Is this because its still restricted?? It's a subaru sti type r v3....

nope its because something is wrong. could be any number of things. more than likely ecu related.

Do a ECU reset and see what errors show.

Sorted lads thanks very much only got it today ;) ecu reset for the win now to get a proper remap. Wonder what caused it :-/

Did it not flash any codes up after the sequencing routine?
Anyhow, looks like it cleared :) - did it pulse the CEL on/off with evenly spaced flashes/voids, for the all clear? |

nope plug the black leads together and count the flashes. 4 long 2short = error 42. 1 long 8short = error 18. ecu error codes can be found somewhere on here.

Yep. There's a roadspeed sensor on the gearbox and if it gets no reading, then it tells the ECU to limit revs to around 4,500rpm.
As said, reconnect the speedo cable so the speedo works, and you should be good to go... :) |
