ecu chips

Hi there, Im wondering if any of you can help me out. I have a u8 ecu which is chipped to lift fuel cut etc etc and i have bought a standard z4 ecu im just wondering if i can take out the chip from the u8 and put it onto the z4 as when using the z4 the throtal response, spool up both seem alot better.

If i cant can anyone recommend a good place toget the z4 chpped?

Doesnt matter what ECU the chip is in, once you fit the chip it will run the chips map. So the throttle response on the Z4 will be different once you fit the chip.

as musso as said it does not matter what ecu you fit the chip into as the ecu reads from the chip, you could fit the chip to the z4 ecu but you will not see any additional gains.

Where can I get a decent chip or get the z4 chipped any ideas?

Im not sure if he is still doing the chips but he is well respected on here. Also keep your eye out for a Polar Performance Chip. AVOID the ebay cheapies.

I have a genuine PP chip, which i MAY be selling, if i decide to break my car. Ill let you know.

dont you already have a chip? as stated in your early post, if so why spend out more money to get the same performance?

Because with the map that is on the chip my car feels laggy and doesn't come into full boost until around 4200rpm where as with other chips it's at full boost much earlier
