Fitting braided brake hoses

1 Attachment(s)
Hi, I have aquired some braided brake lines for my00 Uk and have a quick question regarding fitting. The original ones have a hook type thing on the end where as the braided ones don't. Will they hold ok? Here's a pic of what I mean:-

Yeah, they'll be fine. My standard hoses don't have the locating 'tags' on either. They're only there to make sure the hose is fitted in the correct position!

No worries, I think I'm gonna get my mechanic to fit these hoses as I can't find any info and really don't want to do anything wrong!

As for bleeding I've done that a couple of times now just using the old tube into a bottle. Pump the brakes then hold and get someone to loosen the valve on the caliper then tighten. Release pedal and start again. 5.1 dot brake fluid seems to have helped aswell. Gonna get a master cylinder stopper aswell to reduce the flex as i have a lot of travel in the pedal. My being a classic and yours being a hawkeye yours is probably pretty solid anyway!

I wish my brakes are rubbish to say the least i would be aswell sticking my foot out the door!!!!
Well anyway took your adivice and getting my garage to put all round disc thanks to Ian godney and some do luck braided hoses and getting my non resonated centre section and 2nd de-cat I just never seem to have the time and lately the money especially as just taxed it and it was 441 quid :-( at least dick turpin wore a mask the post office guy smiled I wanted to smack him lol

555man. I take it you have a newage scoob then? You would fall in to that high tax bracket
One main reason why I would stick to the classics for the tax, oh and because I couldn't afford to buy a newage :brickwall lol

I have no confidence with working on anything, especially brakes! I don't mind helping someone who knows what there doing but wouldn't attempt to play on my own :nono:
