Romraider and self mapping
It seems it is of many people on scoobynets concern that their subaru needs a remap on a regular basis, to counteract a tuning modification.
I have taken it upon myself to download the free software and am looking into this for the tuning of my own car (MY01 bugeye). It already has an ECU TEK3 remap, but in light of some recent spec changes i feel a few adjustments need to be made. Of course tuning is not for everyone and it takes quite a bit of skill and technical knowledge to map/change ecu settings, but i feel quite confident to do such. I have mapped several turbo and NA cars in the past and have the appropriate Air fuel ratio measuring equiptment. I write this post to document any finds/information I come accross for those who are interested, having only just downloaded the program i still have to order the cable so please be patient for my findings. |
Good luck man:)

Hi there
i'm mainly using EcuFlash which seems is better and easier than RomRaider Jura |
Jura - I Agree, I prefer EcuFlash its got good map interpolating/smoothing functions and a nicer interface. The Romraider logger is great.
Chaffe - you've got a PM, but i've just noticed that you've already got a ECUTEK map. If this is the case, you won't be able to modify your ecu as it will be locked. |
