Help finding a fuse..please
While trying to find a drain on my battery I managed to short something out, not in a spectacular flash of light but shorted non-the-less.
Here's what not working.... Dash light 'all ignition lights' Headlights Electric Windows Heaters/Aircon Fuel Pump Think thats about it, car turns over fine, just no fuel to fire it up. Ive gone through all the coloured fuses at the drivers footwell and all the coloured fuses under the bonnet. Checked the monster fuses too under the bonnet and all seem in working order. Am I missing a fuse/fusebox somewhere that covers all those things.....?? Any advice much appreciated. |
is it a classic? theres a fuse box on the drivers side in behind the coin tray thingy in the dash

Thanks for the reply, but checked there already...all good.

does this help mate |
ok m8 hmm well its obvious when a fuse has gone but how did you check the relays?
f15 looks promising
Thanks for the diagrams, its a help knowing whats what, but all the fuses are in tact :(
yeah looking at it dont sound like a fuse as most are on different fuses
maybe the loom is damaged and its earthing out
fingers crossed you havnt done something worse than a fuse m8 you said you were messing around by the battery i presume all connections are still tight ect?
might be the fuel pump relay think the blowers work off the same one mate
:( think you're right unfortunately.
Pretty sure that the it all went wrong when I had one end of the multimeter in the AirCon fuse (ignition on) and the other end was grounded. As Im a complete electric novice, not entirely sure why or what I was doing. Looks like a mobile electrician is needed as it wont fire up to take it anywhere :( Unless anyone else has any suggestions? |
Thinks its best to get someone out as I really dont have a clue, I'll end up doing worse no doubt.
borrow some relays from another subaru to try or any subaru breakers near you
Non local but Im sure there will be one near-ish. Note to self: stop fiddling and leave it to the professionals :(
