Nurburgring Trip Booked. Anyone fancy it?
Hi Guys & Girls,
I haven't been to the ring for ages and my missus Mandy has never been so I thought I would book a long weekend away and throw down an open invitation for people to join us for the driving, eating, drinking and general unwinding that time in the unrivaled Eiffel mountains and surreal surroundings offer. http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...icon_smile.gif Travel dates:

Visit the musesum, "Ring Wek" there and "Pizton klause"sp resteurant where Sabene Schmitz partner works. Laps prices are very approx in £'s 1 lap = £21 4 laps = £75 + £8 food voucher+ 1 ring werk ticket (theme park) 15 laps = £260 + £17 food voucher+ 1 ring werk ticket 25 laps = £400 + £25 food voucher+ 1 ring werk ticket season ticket = £1140+ £85 food voucher+ 2 ring werk ticket Unlike a Trackday on a Touristenfahrt days, have an accident with another car or Bike the Police get involved and whoever they deem is at fault will be TOTALLY liable for ALL costs and injuries (or worse) IIRC this is a quote off Ben lovejoys site ;) "if you drive on with leaking fluids, you will be legally and financially responsible for every crash that occurs as a result. That means you pay for their cars, bikes, injuries, armco bills, the works. You will also pay for the cost of cleaning the fluids from the track, and the costs of closing the track to do it" "The safest bet for breakdown cover at the Ring is to join ADAC. They will recover you from the Ring without the usual €175 recovery charge, and for £50 you can get cover that is valid in the UK also." Get GOOD insurance because....... If your lucky and just hit a barrier heres prices (approx in £'s) Breakdown truck = £160 +0%vat Armco Truck attendance = £120 Removing Armco = £8 x2 x3 x4 depending on height Replacement Armco = £28 per metre x2 or x3 depending on height Removing and replacing Armco Posts £40 each Safety car attendance = £70 per 30mins Circuit Closure £1100 per hour add 19% VAT to all but breakdown about £12,600 is the highest bill paid for Armco apparrently.. enjoy Tony |

The ring Taxi is €195 (£150 ish) but that is for 1-3 passengers and certainly worth doing. A nice amble around the Nurburgride contryside is a great way to see the sights  IMHO

I/m there this weekend coming for the long weekend
Anyone going this sat morning early? I'm going down with a small group.. I'll be in my cream/white classic ra Craig. |
We are going Friday morning... will lookout for you Craig :)
I'll be in a 22b with Anthracite standard wheels |
I've got to wait til June 16th for my 2nd trip. Ring opening times this year have been a major downer for a lot of people so it will be interesting to see what the atmosphere is like there next time.
The ring is only open for 8 days in June for TF days so you have to plan ahead and check the calendar. The days of hopping on the ferry and turning up for a blat are gone (for now) i'm afraid. |

Thanks for the advice guys I won't aste my moneys. Immy |
But the £1000 day is a closed track session - which means proper trackday rules apply. No touristfahrten rules or risk of liability if people crash on your fluids etc.
I'd love to do a proper track session, but unfortunately its just too expensive for me. As i'll be doing less than 10 laps in a weekend, it wouldn't stack up. |
