What Cricket bat have you got?

Too all the cricket lovers out there i need to know which is a decent cricket bat to buy?

Havent played for a few years but got a match on Sunday against a old school we once played against. Also looking to play a few more matches after.

I once played with a bat symboled SS or something. It was amazing excellent pick up and a great middle. Ideally want a short handle senior size.

Any recommendations?

Stuart Surridge probably, but could be Sareen Sports.

I think Salix and Kookaburra are pretty good. :)

I have used MRF, AS & a few Gunn Moore's but this SS bat had a beautiful pickup & follow through.

My GM is fine.

Wouldn't spend £200 on something 'fashionable'.As you know..bats like golf clubs seem to have something 'new' every season at a rip off price!

Step back to 1976 and I really wanted a Duncan Fearnley cricket bat but they were priced way out of my league, used to borrow one :D

:thumb: it was when Gray Nicholls produced bats with a scoop/scoops and David Gower was around that I got ever excited about a bat!

Grey Nicholls cricket bats were the favoured weapon of boys from boarding schools where money was plentiful LOL

I have a Grey Nicholls circa 1974, my then Great Aunt won it in a raffle having been signed by the then teams of

India, West Indies, Somerset, Hampshire, Essex and Goucestershire

I don't use it much tbh

Viv Richards sign it????!

Not helping OP much but think he knows his bats....:lol1:

As long as the bat feels right and you can cream it through the covers or out the park....stuff the name!:thumb:

glory days indeed Loz -- but I went to bed and realised I had not put Gordon Greenidge down -- who incidentally has by far the neatest handwriting

Cuthbert Gordon Greenidge and Barry Richards - what an opening pair..............
