Potential use as track car - a good/bad idea?
I'm been offered a 2000 Turbo Wagon, a 1996 model thats covered 115k with a full service history. Its going to be a more practical replacement for my Mazda MX5 Mk1 which I also use on track. I can abuse the living day lights out of the Mazda and get away with it.
My question is, how suitable is the Subaru likely to be for the occassional track day? I'm thinking from a mechanical strength point of view? I'm not a particularly hard driver but am I asking too much? |
It is a bit like sending the missus out on the game, she might not be as enjoyable afterwards.

There are cheaper cars that are just as much fun. £2k will be the starting point, the end point being 5 figures :)
