what would scooby do 16 May 2011 08:53 PM

If it is a hot, dry weekend don't bother cleaning your car as the dust in the car parks is incredible. A lot of folks with valeted/detailed cars got laughed at :D

Top day out, lots of interesting cars to see, make sure you spend some time in the paddock area

Agree with comments re: dust in the car parks! The tractors run shuttle buses and they kick it up all day.

But seriously - a fantastic day out. You will not regret going, even at £50 per head.

I believe the theme is 100 years of Indy cars. :)

Its a good day out, but not in the same league as the revival meeting in September.

- its a great weekend

go down to the start line to see the F1 cars through the tree lined avenue the noise really is something else and also try to see them through the trees near the rally stage

also you must go up to the rally stage there are some great cars to see on the stage and in the pits to - you can be sure that 1 day just isn't enough to see everything though.

We now go for the full weekend and have been going for the last 5 years.

its well spread out and a fair walk up to the rally stage so wear some decent footwear flip flops and stiletto should be banned! as your walking on grass / dust or mud depending on th eweather conditions.

Enjoy
Cheers

Been about 15 times now. Hard to see it all in one day as the place is huge.

Get there early as traffic is bad.

Buy a grandstand seat and you will see a lot more unless you are about 7ft tall.

That's last years list by the looks of it as it says Kris Meeke in his current Peugeot S2000 207 and the list was published June 8 2010 :wonder:

You would have thought the 2011 lineup was available by now?

Edit: And here it is http://www.goodwood.co.uk/downloads/...ng-what-v2.pdf

Anybody done the camp site at Goodwood Festival of Speed, just wondered if you can park your car next to your tent or if they go in car parks.

Went to the Revival Meeting on Saturday.

Even better than usual I reckon. The racing was quite outstanding, they don't half wind those old cars up on the corners.

Nothing like seeing the Minis overtaking the Jaguars on the inside of the bends again! Happy days! Enjoyed the Barry Sheene Memorial bike race too.

I shall be there again next year!

Les :)
