Which brake pads for Newage brembo's?

Looking to get new pads all round so need some advice regarding which ones are good for fast road use?

Want to spend about £100.

I hear good things about Blue Stuff for everyday/fast road driving - I'm going to try them next, the OE ones I have now are poo

Perf friction

KAS35RSTI 15 May 2011 07:14 PM

Ye i need something better than the OE ones as the car is not running standard power. So something that will last and stop the car properly.

+3 for the NDX Bluestuff, which I have on one of my Scoobs.

On my other Scoob, I have Yellowstuff. Also, great, although more track orientated so the cold bike is ok (excellent on the Bluestuff on road use),

PF Z compound

Both "Godspeed" and "Aztec Performance" sell them and trade on here.

Think they may be about £140 but they will confirm.

I have always found the standard Brembo pads to be quite good. I have tried the black diamond pads which where slightly better but not by much, I would consider the Godspeed grooved discs with Kevlar pads combo if I was looking for increased braking performance on a budget.

Performance friction.... have done the Nurburgring/brands hatch a few times and there spot on

greatgonzo 15 May 2011 09:17 PM

Anger 15 May 2011 09:21 PM

What im saying is they last well... seen blues that havnt lasted long at all, as mine have been on a year and are off to the Nurburgring again

Kas knows how i use my car and abuse it

The way you drive James i though you'd keep a batch of pads lol.

One year on your car & back to Nurburg!! They will probably last me a life time then lol.

Where can i get these pads from James?

B0DSKI 16 May 2011 10:38 AM

Zs, the race ones are very hard on discs

ScoobySteve69 16 May 2011 11:14 AM

Performanc Friction are good pads but I`d avoid Kevlar ones. Mine are coming off as soon as I get replacements!!!

Can I ask what was wrong with the kevlar pads?
Are you using Brembo calipers?
Cheers.

Long story but, my brakes used to be awesome. I changed the rear discs and pads and they suddenly went ****. I've had brakes bled, seals checked and come to the conclusion its the pad compound so when I decide which are best...I'll be changing and yes they are. Brembos.

At the end of the day....you get what you pay for in my opinion.
