I have a MY01 WRX 4 Door....my mate also has same model...both done about the same mileage...has anynoe noticed a constant clicking/banging noise from around the passenger side dash....only started in the last 1000 miles or so...annoying noise!!!

I have a variety of different noises including buzzing, shuddering, clicking etc
Banging  however is a new one to me!

Most of mine could be fixed by:
- Only driving on smooth surfaces (!)
- Removing door trims and applying silicon sealant around the fixing points.
- Dismantling the dash to find one particular click.
- Removing CD's etc from the glovebox.

It's not too bad on the whole, but is a bit annoying - especially in Edinburgh with all our cobbled streets...

Anyone know if there's a company out there that specialises in "annyoying noise removal"?

Rich :)

P.S got a Grahamgoode back box and you can hear it above that:eek:
Got a load of different noises coming from the engine and drive train....cluncks,nocks,clicks.etc......I think its best to ignore them or you will worry yourself sick.
I have a D Turbo 306 and its quieter in the cabin than the sub:confused:

It took me 3 weeks to find an annoying ticking sound from the drivers side b pillar just behind my ear ! I took the b pillar plastic trim off and removed the crappy polystyrene inside that was moving and causing annoying creaks. Then I noticed the clicking was still there, so I started spraying Castrol Silicone lubricating spray inside the door lock mechanism. No good. Then I sprayed the U shaped catch which fastens the door to the b pillar. Sprayed just behind it and hey presto its cured ! Seems the metal plate chafes on the b pillar and echoes inside. No buzzes or clicks abywhere else though (so far, touch wood)
