Mine's on it's way!

Was tempted for the Xperia Arc - but the performance of the S2 swung it.

bigsinky 13 May 2011 09:44 AM

Get her rooted lad

BlkKnight 13 May 2011 10:29 AM

What's the benefit of rooting it?

Wurzel 13 May 2011 11:25 AM

probably a daft thing to mention to you, but the arc would need rooting asap, the sony erricsson ui over the android build is buggy as hell and they crash all the time, ive had 3 back in a week!

iphone 5 is out september ish!

maybe not so daft, lol, rooting give you a better rom (os install), they are usually trimmed down and lack all the bloatware the networks force on customers, they are usually faster, give better battery life and have loads of little tweaks that make life easier.

who needs orange world on their phone, same goes for timescape and mediascape, useless poorly written apps that slow stuff down for no reason other than to provide revenue for the carrier!

No need to root, especially if you need a "simple" explanation .... Just sit down and use your phone for a few days and then work out what else you need it to do. If the phone's app(s) seem deficient then go hunting in the market.

Tried that and it throws task manager up?

Did you get the S2? I'm still toying with the idea of this or the iPhone 5.

-------

Edited to say I found the S2 quite large and my current mobile suddenly developed a few problems so I went down the route of the white iPhone 4 instead.

stuart69 13 May 2011 09:56 PM

Yes mate the2.

God, I feel like I'm in a foreign country reading all the posts on this thread! I haven't got a feckin' clue what you're all on about! :o

I recently bought an Xperia Minipro 10, and I hate it! Maybe I should have gone for the Samsung Galaxy Ace. :(
