HELPPPPPPP!

Hi, Basically i have just had some lowering springs fitted and now when i go to lock my car it locks but the alarm keeps going off i have a Sigma M30 alarm system.. would something had been nocked whilst fitting these? They where fitted at a garage and it was fine before i took it there

I dont fancy leaving the car unlocked over night :(

thanks

this isnt a cure and dosent help much, but why dont you just disconnect the alarm for tonight if you cant source the problem, atleast it will be locked.

JamieJerkovic 11 May 2011 06:58 PM

thanks for that but i really need it sorted! not keen on leaving a subaru impreza unlocked lol chavs do anything for a decent care

99greenwagon 11 May 2011 07:01 PM

you will be able to lock the car without the alarm going off!

JamieJerkovic 11 May 2011 07:03 PM

how? the car has been declocked since brand new ( says so on purchase recipet in 99 ).. no way i can do it.. i have a gear box lock but its not really enough

99greenwagon 11 May 2011 07:03 PM

it could be a strange coincedence as i cant see any reason why the could have knocked something whilst doing suspension, have you checked the position of the sensors inside the car?

do the interior lights go off when all closed and locked up? if so can only be a bonnet or boot problem, the sigma alarm pdf can be downloaded at scoobypedia.

i have heard of this a few times after springs or coilovers fitted

They didn't weld anything on the car whilst the springs were being fitted did they?

JamieJerkovic 11 May 2011 07:18 PM

nope no lights come on, its just when i come to lock it via the remote key alarm goes off straight away? starting to really piss me off now excuse my french.. hate the feeling of having an unlocked car. ive gone through the alarm guide and seems to be none of them

99greenwagon 11 May 2011 07:21 PM

have you disconnected and reconnected battery?worth a try!

JamieJerkovic 11 May 2011 07:26 PM

Yeahh! I have done that left it for a few minutes. Its have to be something to do with the springs being fitted. Looks like ill have to wait till tomorow :( if anyones had this problem before please help me!

Check the alarm pin under the bonnet. Maybe that got knocked somehow.

JamieJerkovic 11 May 2011 07:33 PM

I have checked that the bottom is slightly damaged but it still goes up and down on the spring.. Can these be replaced?

Start your own thread, guy, don't just add random questions to another.

That's IF you actually WANT advice?
